Sil-Select Stock
Sil-Select Stock™ is a concentrated stock solution for labs that prepare their own custom density gradients in-house. With a density of approximately 1.12 g/ml, it gives andrology teams the flexibility to dial in gradient concentrations suited to their specific protocols for IUI, IVF, and ICSI. The formulation uses the same silane-coated colloidal silica base as the ready-to-use Sil-Select Plus™ system, suspended in HEPES-buffered EBSS. CE-marked under MDR and FDA cleared for use in the USA.
Description
For labs that prefer to work from a stock solution rather than pre-set gradient layers, Sil-Select Stock™ provides a reliable, high-density starting point. At approximately 1.12 g/ml, it sits above the density of standard gradient layers, giving you the headroom to dilute down to whatever concentration your protocol calls for — whether that’s a classic two-layer setup, a continuous gradient, or something specific to your patient population.
The base is the same silane-coated colloidal silica suspended in HEPES-buffered Earle’s Balanced Salt Solution used across the Sil-Select range, so there are no surprises in terms of sperm compatibility. QC benchmarks match those of the ready-to-use products: sperm motility survival of ≥80% at 4 hours and ≥75% at 24 hours relative to control, endotoxin below 0.5 EU/mL, and sterility verified to Ph. Eur./USP standards.
Available in 100ml and 500ml volumes, with a gentamicin-supplemented variant (SIS100_32G) for labs that include antimicrobial cover as standard. CE-marked under MDR (NB 2797), FDA cleared, and registered with Health Canada and Brazil’s regulatory authority.
