IVFtech Sterica Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinet
The Sterica is a vertical laminar flow cabinet engineered to maintain a constant stream of clean air across the full work surface, making it well suited for vitrification, ICSI, sperm collection, and embryo manipulation. IVFtech’s proprietary laminator delivers uniform airflow at reduced fan speeds, which extends both fan and HEPA filter lifespan while cutting turbulence around the microscope. Surface options include stainless steel or HiMacs in multiple colours, with three fixed height configurations and an electrically adjustable option. Like the rest of the IVFtech range, all maintenance is front-access — the cabinet never needs to be moved for servicing.
Description
The Sterica is built around one core requirement: consistent, uninterrupted clean air over the entire work surface. Vertical laminar flow runs continuously through a HEPA filter, and IVFtech’s own laminator distributes that airflow uniformly at lower fan speeds than a standard setup would require. The practical outcome is a longer-lasting fan, a longer-lasting filter, lower energy draw, and less turbulence in the immediate vicinity of the microscope — all of which matter when the work on the surface is as sensitive as vitrification or ICSI.
The cabinet is available in six widths from 90 to 240 cm, with height options ranging from fixed stands at 700–950 mm through to an electrically adjustable 705–1100 mm configuration. Work surfaces come in either stainless steel or HiMacs, the latter being non-porous, scratch and dent resistant, and available in a range of colours. Heated area options cover standard, full, and extra configurations, and the table top can be fitted with an integrated incubator, warming block, anti-vibration platform, or witness preparation station flush with the surface.
The back wall is equally configurable — electrical outlets, flow meters, humidification, aspiration tunnels, magnetic shelving, UV front cover, and various access port arrangements can all be specified. Servicing, as with all IVFtech workstations, is handled entirely from the front of the unit. No repositioning, no disruption to adjacent equipment, and no extended downtime.
